Environmentally friendly and future-oriented!<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text css=””]Shifting additional freight volumes from road to rail is essential for the success of the energy and transport transition in Germany.
\nROSTOCK PORT is also pushing the expansion of intermodal connections from the Rostock location. Although not operating as a rail transport company or operator itself, ROSTOCK PORT initiates transports, carries out preparatory market investigation studies and brings the required players “to the table” by identifying and bundling potential volumes. Increasing the share of rail in the hinterland traffic of the Port of Rostock reduces the climate gas emissions of the transport chains passing through the site and consolidates Rostock’s role as a rail port.
\nCombined transport (CT) by rail has been growing steadily for years.
